Sales Executive

Join a rapidly growing team at an exciting SaaS tech company in downtown Toronto.

OMX is looking for an amazing, enthusiastic, self-motivated sales executive to drive new sales in complex markets such as infrastructure, mining, aerospace and energy for our company, a profitable B2B/B2G SaaS platform with name-brand clients. You will be in charge of hunting for your own targets, demonstrating our solution, and closing contracts with clients.

This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for a passionate, driven self-starter with an aptitude for building new relationships in global markets. We’re a creative, collaborative group of sales and software professionals located in the thriving Queen & Spadina tech corridor, and offer a competitive package with full benefits and a progressive commission structure.

What you'll do

  • Generate new leads and strategically grow our sales funnel
  • Communicate our value proposition to prospects
  • Follow up, provide assistance and, most importantly, close SaaS sales
  • Report directly to the company Vice President

What you'll need

  • Enthusiasm, energy and desire to grow with the business Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • An entrepreneurial and self-starting attitude (i.e. generate your own leads, proactively follow up, and be creative... take prospects out for lunch, schedule follow on meetings, etc.)
  • Proven track record of success in driving and closing new sales, particularly with a SaaS product in traditional sectors
  • Personal attention to detail, rather than reliance on a support team
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, busy, environment with a "hunter" and "closer" attitude
  • Comfort using cloud-based tools like HubSpot and Google Docs

What we'd also love to see

  • Existing relationships in traditional sectors where we operate (infrastructure, mining, energy, aerospace, government)
  • Bilingual communication skills (French & English) would be considered an asset

Your ideal background

  • 5-10 years of quantifiable lead generation and/or sales experience with proven results (i.e. top of monthly sales KPIs month after month)
  • Track record of increasing responsibility, larger markets and rising sales targets
